Meeting the Apes and Dolphins in Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located next to Spain at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a very small country with only 6 square kilometers (2,3 square miles).

The Apes

First of all, Gibraltar is famous for their apes. They live in freedom on the Rock of Gibraltar. If you react normally, they won’t do something to you, but you shouldn’t have plastic with you. The apes go crazy with anything made out of plastic.

The second animals that we saw on Gibraltar were dolphins. Before I didn’t even know that dolphins would live in the Mediterranean Sea.

I booked a dolphin spotting trip on the internet. The name of the company I chose was Dolphin Safari. I really enjoyed this trip. They have a blue boat named Goldfin. I appreaciated the most, that they don’t overfill their boat with people, because I hate it, when you’re on a trip to spot something and the boat is crowded with people. I can only recommend this dolphin spotting trip. The crew was really helpful and did everything for their guests welfare.

The moment we spotted dolphins was really amazing. Those are so beautiful and elegant animals. The only thing you could hear was the clicking of the cameras.

IMG_6799It is really difficult to get a good picture of them, because you don’t know when they’re going to jump out of the water.

So if you’re ever in Gibraltar, don’t miss the apes and perhaps the dolphins, because both of them are experiences that you’ll never forget.
