I’m still waiting for my letter to Hogwarts, so I though I could visit this exhibition to speed up my process to get to Hogwarts.
From the moment I heard about this exhibition, I knew I had to flight straight to the wizard world. Cologne is only a 2 hours drive from Luxembourg and Yannick did his bachelor there, so we’re pretty common with Cologne.
The Harry Potter Exhibition consists basically of original pieces from the Harry Potter movies and a lot of fun things to do, such as planting mandrakes. You can book your tickets in advance for a specific time, and I recommend this. There are so many people, especially younger people who want to visit it.
Basically, you’re going through almost all the sets in Hogwarts and you really feel like you’re in the movie. There are different rooms with different scenes, just like the Gryffindor common room, or the Forbidden Forest.
At the end, there is a souvenir shop with extremely high prices. To be honest, I think all the things there were too expensive for what it is! Especially the picture that you did in the beginning of the Hogwarts tour.
I’m sorry for the bad pictures, but at the beginning, you weren’t allowed to make any pictures, and so I didn’t take my camera with me. Unfortunately, this wasn’t true. The women at the start of the exhibition told us, that we could take pictures, so I had to do all my photos with my iPhone. I was so annoyed by that!
If you’re a fan of it and the exhibition is located near to you – go and visit it! It’s a must do for all the Harry Potter fans out there.
