Hotel Scandic Victoria Oslo

During our trip in Oslo, we stayed at the Hotel Scandic Victoria. I found this hotel on booking.com and I chose it because of the good rating on that site. And I absolutely agree with all of them and I would definitely return to that hotel.

The Hotel Scandic Victoria Oslo

As you perhaps not know, the Scandic Hotels are a hotel chain, which are represented in almost every city in Norway. It is mostly represented in the Scandinavian countries, but they also have one to two hotels in Germany, Belgium and Poland.

This Scandic hotel was not the only one in which we stayed during our trip in Norway, and after all this experience with Scandic, I can surely recommend them. So let’s start with the different aspects of the hotel.

The Room

We booked a ? room, which I really liked. The room was very modern and not too much decorated. It offered a lot of space to put your stuff and suitcases.

Something which is really necessary in Norway, but more in the Northern part as in Oslo, are warm ?. They were really warm and cozy.

As to the bathroom, this was also very spacious with a shower. What I really liked was the fact that I had a lot of space on the lavatory. Furthermore, the floor of the bathroom was heated, but this is almost in every hotel in Norway.

The breakfast

As we booked our room with breakfast included, I have to write also about that. I really liked the breakfast, because they offered everything you want from continental breakfast to Norwegian specialities.

I have to admit that we only enjoyed the breakfast one time, because the other morning it was not possible because we were late for the plane, which I will explain in another post. So Yannick was really sad to miss the breakfast on our second morning.

The Location

As to the location, I have to say that this hotel is very well located. It is really near the Royal Castle, the Parliament and the City Hall. By a 2 min walk, you reach the harbor, which offers a good view on the Oslofjord and also the old fortress of Oslo.

Just in front of the city hall, you can take the bus to reach other sightseeing points, like the Vikingship Museum, which will take you about 9 minutes with the bus.

Prices for a Standard Room start at 150 € per night
